Juniper

juniper-berries

Not just a key ingredient in your favourite gin, juniper has lots of health benefits (although a G&T could also be good for your health…). There are over fifty species of Juniper found in the Northern hemisphere, including the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  Juniper oil is extracted from the berries and has historically been used to treat wounds due to its antiseptic properties. More recently, juniper has been popular for detoxification and soothing nervous tension.
