Star Anise Oil

Star Anise is a spice that comes from an evergreen tree that is native to Vietnam and Southwest China. Now the spice is harvested from various regions including India, Spain, France, Italy, the Philippines, Vietnam and China. Star Anise grows in pods of six to eight seeds is actually harvested prior to ripening. Star Anise Oil is commonly used throughout cooking, essential oils, perfumes, soaps and skin creams.

Star Anise might be very familiar to you, as it is used widely during the holidays in beverages and cooking. It is slightly sweet and spicy, and many chefs use it as a licorice taste. At Rocky Mountain Soap Company we use Star Anise is our Root Beer scented products, as it is great in that scent blend.

Star Anise Fruit Oil is great for your skin. It is known to be antioxidant-rich, have antifungal properties and has some antibacterial properties. This makes it great in skin care. This oil has been studied to be great for the skin and leave it glowing, soft and smooth.
